RJ45 Network cables have various uses within both the home and office environments. Ranging from simply connecting one device to another or wiring up a network within a building. Generally the central point for the network would be a server along with hubs/switches and patch panels required for the network. Shorter length cables are used for local connections between the server, hubs/switches and patch panels. Bulk cable is then run throughout the building through trunking to the back of various network points. A network cable will then be used to provide a connection between the network point and a PC.
RJ45 Cat 5e cables are available in a choice of ten colours, 0.5M to 50M lengths and transfer data at the speed of up to 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) - 100mhz frequency.
