I bought this product (Zebra LP2844 Thermal printer) 2 weeks ago from Athema. They were around £60 cheaper than competition although it was a reburbished product now new. But I took the chance as £60 is a fair bit of money. First class service and item was as described. It was clearly mentioned that this was a reburbished product so I was not expecting brand new. It came very well packed in plenty of bubble wrap. The product looked as new from outside and inside. But there was not box included as it was a reburbished product. The description on the website did say 'free consumables included' but I figured out before ordering that this does not apply to thermal printers. Perhaps this statement should be removed from web description. Overall very pleased about the service from Athema. Now on to the product. I downloaded the drivers and manual from the Zebra website. The system this had to be connected was using Windows 7 64-bit. The trick is NOT to plug in the printer first as I ran into lots of trouble doing so. The installation utility I downloaded from Zebra website installs the drivers and tells you when to plug in the printer to complete the installation. The printer was up and running in no time through the USB connection. I shared the printer on the network and Windows 7 asked me to install 32-bit windows drivers as well. I downloaded them from the Zebra website and pointed Windows to the folder. Now all the laptops (total 3) are printing to this printer wirelessly. I should have got this ages ago. It saves me so much time everyday preparing customer orders. I am feeding it from a box of 1500 continuous labels supplied free to me by the courier. I must have gone through 300 already and printer is running super smooth. So no paper or ink costs anymore and no hassle with inkjet. I would definitely reccomend this if you are prininting more than 20 labels a day.
