SonicWALL offers two endpoint security solutions to combat the most malicious viruses, unwanted spyware, and productivity-draining adware. The SonicWALL® Enforced Client Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware product and the SonicWALL® Client/Server Anti-Virus Suite, deliver key features and advantages that bring superior, automated protection to every endpoint in your network.
Enforced compliance
Desktops and laptops that are out of compliance with your security policy can allow a virus to spread throughout your network in no time. With the SonicWALL Enforced Client, these non-compliant endpoints no longer pose a threat. The enforcement feature checks every client, regardless of location, to ensure that it is running the latest version of anti-virus software with the most recent updates. Additionally, SonicWALL reduces administrative overhead by providing a single point of management for anti-virus, anti-spyware, desktop firewall, and browser protection deployment--delivering a more cost-effective solution. If the endpoint is not in compliance, Internet access is blocked, and the user is redirected to a site to download the appropriate update.
Single client for virus and spyware protection
In addition to state-of-the-art anti-virus protection, SonicWALL also scans and blocks installation of spyware programs before they can cause damage and transmit confidential data. Additionally, SonicWALL reduces administrative overhead by providing a single point of management for anti-virus, anti-spyware, desktop firewall, and browser protection deployment—delivering a more cost-effective solution.
Automatic updates
Manually updating anti-virus software is time-consuming and a waste of resources. Because it takes time, it creates a "hole" in the endpoint layer of protection between the time when an update is available, and the time when it finally gets loaded onto each computer. SonicWALL automates deployment of anti-virus and anti-spyware software, as well as signature updates, ensuring they are loaded onto each and every endpoint as soon as an update is available on an automated basis. No end-user intervention is required. Protection is delivered faster, and therefore there is less chance of a new, "zero-day" virus getting through because an endpoint’s virus signatures are not up-to-date.
Layered protection
SonicWALL takes a layered approach to security, by ensuring that every touch point is protected: gateways, servers, and workstations.
