Brother International Aust., a leader and innovator of printing, communication and digital imaging technologies has released the HL-5270DN as an extension of their successful HL-5200 line. The HL-5270DN comes with outstanding features that no other printer on the market yet has, including a Carbon Copy function and Control Code Search and Replace.
The Carbon Copy Function acts like the old dot-matrix printer where the carbon copy function takes the print data and automatically makes up to 7 copies of it. This advanced feature allows you to select a different printing macro for each page. A Macro can change the appearance and design of a page.
In some customer environments the PCL commands sent to the printer do not match the printerâ€™s PCL language support. To solve this problem, you need to change the firmware to match the environment. With Brotherâ€™s Control Code Search and Replace, you no longer need to develop any special firmware; you just send the program to Search & Replace within the printer.
The HL-5270DN will be the first Brother printer to support IPv6, the next generation Internet Protocol. IPv6 replaces the aging IPV4, and offers easy auto configuration and enhanced security.
HL-5270DN is a true workhorse that comes with ultra fast print speeds of up to 28ppm monochrome and true 1,200 x 1,200dpi print resolutions that gives you quality prints every single time. Equipped with a secure print feature that only prints when you key in your security PIN, provides you protection for your confidential documents.
Designed for your ease of use, the HL-5270DN is user-friendly with its 3-colour LCD screen that continuously provides real time updates on the printer status and there is also a reprint button that allows the user to do a quick reprinting easily at the machine.
Furthermore, HL-5270DN comes with a built-in duplex for double-sided printing to help you save on paper, a standard 250-sheet paper tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray that is expandable up to 800 sheets for more paper handling and volume printing. Should the number of users increase, its memory capacity can be upgradeable from its standard 32MB up to 544MB.
HL-5270DN is equipped with an integrated 10/100Base-TX network card to connect to the LAN with a breeze. With the support of advanced network protocols such as APIPA and DHCP, network connectivity is greatly simplified.
